DXH Unlocks Medical Tourism’s Potentials at the Dubai-Africa Partnership for Better Health Roadshow 2017

Dubai Health Experience (DXH) participated in the Dubai-Africa Partnership for Better Health Roadshow in March 2017 with an aim to build strategic partnerships and mutually beneficial relationships between Dubai and the African healthcare providers. The roadshow included visiting Nigeria and Ghana.

Africa 2The roadshow created a cohesive platform for Dubai-based healthcare providers to visit destinations representing fast growing African countries with good potential to improve relationships and cooperation between the two parties. Fifteen healthcare providers participated in the roadshow offering a wide array of medical services and specialities. A significant number of travel agents along with more than 150 attendees have also visited the four-day roadshow and organized one-on-one meetings with DXH Group facilities.

Through the roadshow, Dubai played a vital role in promoting knowledge sharing, unlocking business potentials and showcasing what Dubai offers to the medical tourists from outstanding healthcare services to the finest medical expertise.

In 2015, Dubai welcomed 630,831 medical tourists out of which 298,359 were international tourists who came from abroad, accounting for nearly 46 per cent of the total, while Orthopaedic and dental were the most availed specialties

Given the advanced infrastructure and the healthcare professionals that Dubai embraces, DXH was capable of demonstrating the feasible proposition that Dubai offers to medical tourists from the African countries who aspire to live one of a kind experience in the iconic city of Dubai.
Dr. Layla Mohamed Al Marzouqi, Director of the Medical Tourism Council, said: “Due to the success of the Dubai-Africa Roadshow in opening new doors for Dubai’s medical tourism sector, we are currently organizing our next roadshows in the continent. Planning and actively participating in such platforms empower us to pursue our vision of positioning Dubai as a global medical tourism destination and to attract medical tourists across the world.”

The Dubai-Africa Partnership for Better Health Roadshow 2017 was held under the patronage of Dubai Health Authority (DHA) with the support of Emirates Airlines, the strategic partner for DXH and the event’s main sponsor Neuro Spinal Hospital.
