About Latifa Women & Children Hospital

Established in 1986. First specialized hospital in Women and Children health in UAE. It provides secondary and tertiary health care services in Obstetrics, Gynecology, Neonatology and Pediatric Medical with 351 Bed capacity and more than 1200 staff. We are the First Government Hospital in Dubai that received Joint Commission International Accreditation for Health Care Services since 2007 and is being re-accredited every 3 years.

Latifa Women and Children Hospital with other DHA hospitals was awarded the Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP) Distinguished Award (Distinguished Management Initiative) in 2009. It has been certified as ‘Baby Friendly Hospital’ by WHO – UNICEF since January 2010 and re-accredited every 3 years. It has been certified as ‘Mother Friendly Hospital’ by WHO – UNICEF in 2017. Also, in 2019 Latifa hospital 5 star rating as per the global star rating system for services.

It is also recognized training and exam center of the MRCOG/ MRCPCH/Arab board/Saudi Board for Anesthesia.

Our NICU has been awarded with the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for an outstanding clinical department in the public sector in the UAE in 2012.

It has also been Accredited since Sep 2014 by American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) in and recognized as Centre of Excellence for Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery and being reaccredited every 3 years.
