European Board-Certified in Vascular and General Surgery, I have 22 years of surgical experience. I specialise in varicose veins and chronic venous disease, using cutting edge techniques. My fields of interest also encompass Diabetic Foot and Chronic/Non-healing Wounds, Dialysis Access (AV Fistulas, Catheter Insertion for Hemodialysis), Peripheral Artery Bypass Surgery and Endovascular Procedures, IVC Filter Placement, Port-a-Cath Insertion for Chemotherapy, Wound Care (Diabetic Foot, Chronic and Non-healing Wounds), DVT and Anti-Coagulation Management. I received my medical degree in 1992 from the University of Medicine in Gdansk, Poland, before taking my internship and residency in surgery at the Medical University Hospital in Gdansk, working there as an Assistant Professor in Surgery and receiving my PhD in the field of medicine. I have also received foreign residency training at Klinikum Heidehaus, Department of Thoracic and Vascular Surgery, Germany and recently completed training experience in vascular surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, Heart and Vascular Institute, Ohio, USA. I completed my Fellowship in Vascular Surgery in 2008 at the Specialist Hospital in Radom, where I was a consultant surgeon. Prior to joining the Al Zahra Private Hospital I worked in the UAE as a vascular surgeon at Mafraq Hospital Abu Dhabi and Mediclinic Dubai and was Head of Department at the Saudi German Hospital.
